At Code da Vintage, authenticity is not a checkbox — it is the foundation of everything we do. Before any item enters our collection, it undergoes a rigorous evaluation process rooted in expertise, provenance research, and hands-on inspection.

Where our pieces come from

A significant part of our collection is sourced directly from established European auction houses — including Bonhams, Drouot, Collector Square. Items sold through reputable auction houses pass their own strict authentication and cataloguing standards before they ever reach us.

We also work with trusted private collectors and vintage specialists in Europe, each vetted through long-term relationships built on transparency.

How we authenticate

Each piece is evaluated individually. Our authentication process considers:

• Provenance and documented ownership history
• Materials, stitching, hardware, and construction quality
• Labels, date codes, serial numbers, and archival references

For select — luxury goods  particularly pieces by Hermès, Louis Vuitton and Chanel — we use Entrupy, an AI-powered authentication platform trusted by resellers and auction houses worldwide. Entrupy provides a digital certificate with a unique ID that can be independently verified.
